Yolanda Sanz on National Radio: Intestinal Bacteria Against Stress, Obesity and Depression

Yolanda Sanz, researcher of the Microbial Ecology, Nutrition and Health group of the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology was interviewed last Monday on the National Radio program on the Shoulders of Giants in which they talked about intestinal bacteria against stress, obesity and depression.
Our intestines are colonized by an enormous number of microscopic beings. This is the microbiota, mostly bacteria, although viruses, fungi and protozoa are also present. These microorganisms produce vitamins, promote the absorption of calcium and iron, protect us against other pathogens.
