María del Carmen Cénit Laguna spoke about celiac disease at a conference in Barbastro

María del Carmen Cénit Laguna, from the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA), offered last week a conference on celiac disease in Barbastro, Huesca.

Celiac disease is a chronic inflammatory disease caused by a permanent intolerance to gluten proteins in cereals in which genetic and environmental factors are involved.

The event was included in the program of activities promoted by the scientific dissemination project of CIUDAD CIENCIA and took place in the Congress Center of the municipality.
